Creative and Modern Dance classes are offered to students of all ages. Each class is tailored to the appropriate skill level of the student. For example, Miss Margene's youngest students (typically three-year old children) begin learning large motor movements like skipping, sliding, and galloping. Miss Margene's oldest students (typically high school seniors and college students) work on mastering sophisticated combinations and techniques.

All students are given performance opportunities throughout the year, including an annual modern dance rendition of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite and a Spring Concert with a new theme every year.

Celebrating the magic of the season live on stage is "The Nutcracker", an annual tradition our students look forward to every year. Story by E.T.A Hoffman and music by Peter Tchaikovsky, our students find themselves on a journey to the ocean, through a land of snow, into an enchanted forest, and a celebration of dances from around the world.

Choreography is designed to support all ages and levels of dance, encouraging all dancers to realize their potential. This is a live, professional production featuring the work of skilled choreographers, seasoned stage technicians, lighting and costume designers and a host of dedicated volunteers.

After a much needed break over the holidays, our students return to the studio in the New Year with fresh energy and eagerness, ready to begin training for our annual spring performance.

Shhhh....spring performance themes change every year and is kept quiet until classes resume in January. Studio favorites have been "Déjà Vu", "Dancing Through Broadway", "Oh, The Places You'll Go!", "Your Autograph, Please", "The Legend of I'Leeanna", "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland", and "Dorothy's Journey to Oz".

The following chart shows the days and times of all Creative Generation Dance Company classes. Due to the fact that each class is geared towards specific skill levels, dancers are placed by age/grade level to begin with but may be moved based on ability.
